Sign a PDF
Draw, type or upload your signature, place it where it belongs, and download the signed PDF. Add text such as a name or date too.
How to sign PDF
- Choose your PDF.
- Create a signature, then select a page to place it. Drag to move and resize.
- Select Save signed PDF.
Your file never leaves this tab.
Sign PDF runs as code inside your browser. The document is read from your device, changed in memory, and handed back to you as a download. There is no upload step and no copy on our servers.
That also means it keeps working on a plane or a slow connection once the page has loaded.
Check it yourself
- Open your browser developer tools and go to the Network tab.
- Use the tool on a file.
- You will see no request carrying your file anywhere.
Questions about Sign PDF
Is this a legally binding signature?
In the US, UK and Canada, a typed, drawn or image signature can be valid for many everyday agreements, but the rules depend on the document and the other party. This tool adds a visual signature only. It does not create a certificate-based digital signature. Check with the other party or a professional if the stakes are high.
Can I add my name and the date?
Yes. Use Add text, click the page, and type. You can move it and change its size.
Does it fill in form fields?
It places text and signatures on top of the page. Interactive form fields are not detected, so click where each answer should go.
Is my document uploaded?
No. Your PDF and signature stay in your browser. Nothing is stored after you close the tab.
